Upon purchasing a work from the artist, unless a preference otherwise is indicated in advance, personally identifying information as available--potentially including name, geographic location (no more precise than municipality), and any provided contact information--will be stored in the artist's non-public registry of works.
This information is used to keep track of the breadth of the artist's works' distribution for disclosure on the website, in the artist's CV, and in other biographical materials, as well as to give the purchaser the option to connect with would-be buyers and organizations seeking loan of the work for exhibition in the event the artist is approached with such requests. However in no circumstances would the purchaser's information from the artist's registry of works be disclosed to any third party without their prior consent.
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Personal information associated with purchases in the artist's non-public registry of works is stored indefinitely.
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.
If you do not wish your art purchase recorded with personally identifiable information in the artist's non-public personal registry of works, you can specify that you wish the purchase to be attributed to an anonymous collector; or you may request at any time after the purchase to have your personal details anonymized retroactively in the registry.
Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service.
